Quinn Price is a violinist studying at the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin, studying with Brian Lewis. He recently received his Bachelor of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he was a student of Stephen Rose. Originally from Ellensburg, Washington, he began his musical studies at the age of 8 in an after-school music program at Central Washington University. He then continued his studies in Seattle with Ronald Patterson, a faculty member at the University of Washington and former student of Jascha Heifitz. In 2015 he was a winner of the Seattle Symphony Young Artist Auditions, and had the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Seattle Symphony.
He loved his time at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he was a member of the Cielo Quartet, a group part of CIM’s competitive Advanced Quartet Seminar. They participated in master classes for musicians such as Phillip Setzer, Todd Phillips, and Keith Robinson. While in Cleveland, he also served as a guest concertmaster of the Suburban Symphony Orchestra, and as a member of the Cleveland Opera Theater Orchestra and the Cleveland Pops Orchestra.
As a violinist, his goal is to reach and inspire as many people as possible with classical music. He is dedicated to community outreach and arts advocacy, as he believes classical music should be accessible to everyone.
