
It’s a humdinger of a summer for SF Bay Area classical music fans

Summertime is going to be sizzling in Northern California, and we aren’t just talking about the weather. From Mendocino down to Cazadero and radiating out all around the Bay, there are festivals galore that will keep classical music fans up to their earlobes in events that cater to their special tastes.
Musikiwest: The Palo Alto-based ensemble Musikiwest, under artistic director Michelle Djokic, brings artists from prestigious music schools throughout the United States for six days of music-making. Two public performances feature works by Schubert, Dvorak, Felix Mendelssohn, Anton Arensky and Jonathan Dove.
